Glad you mentioned that, because had I not been "on-line" and scrolled past the "Notifications" section first, telling me I had a PM, I wouldn't have noticed.

Oh wait....ah yes...you wanted to send me a "private message," (that's what a PM is ya know...private?) but in reality, you wanted everyone to see that you and I are passing information, secretly, back and forth. You've informed me publicly that I've a private message?

I've a better use for this feature. Let's say you want to communicate something to me privately, something you don't want others (public) to see (otherwise you would just post it here). Send me a PM (private message), but this time...don't tell anyone that you sent it to me!

Now that's sneaky. We could be like "hackers," posting stuff incognito from our new Windows 8 boxes. Might land us a job with the NSA...
