The rivergate 30A was the typical RC power supply for that purpose for many years, it's what I use and works great. It's real purpose was it was used in RV's from what I remember.
Our club uses a full size car battery as well, set up on a table for all club members to use and it seems to be working out well. I would say either of those two options would be a good place to start.
