Honestly..
Take a look at your local tracks and see what people are actually racing. Nitro and Electric are very hit or miss depending on location, Nitro is still bigger as a whole, but some areas have been more attracted to the electric classes. If you plan on investing time and money into this hobby, I would just pick based on what will bring you the most competition and enjoyment.
