Total power wise it's not too far off, but it has more natural drag brake and isn't as smooth which is more critical to lap times than pure power. If you're just getting your feet wet the Castle setup will suffice, but if you plan to race in the 4x4 SCT class for the forseeable future you'd save money in the long run investing in the RX8/Pro4 setup.
