The complaints people have against the SC10 4x4 are mainly conditions based. By that I mean, what track conditions you drive in.

WC drives on conditions where the vehicle shines. The setups you see online are for conditions that the vehicle is well suited for. The problem that people in general (there are those who differ, like anything) are having appears to be in loose, large 1/8 track conditions with big jumps. Look on AE site, and from what I can tell there are no setups that address this specifically.

The vehicle benefits from a variety of hopups for these conditions, two of my favorites being the M2C toe in block and the RC Shox Differential. Add in bumpy conditions and the two stage pistons work well too.

Unlike others who have made the switch and are happy with that, I personally feel with the right setup and admission that some parts are needed (like the whole VTS thing and sway bars when it first came out), the vehicle can be made to perform. But, we also have to keep in mind that when it was designed, I don't think the original intent was to go against basically like 1/8 buggy based vehicles which the SCTE essentially is since losi designated the 810 buggy variety as such, a 1/8 buggy.

But, since the genie is out of the bottle, nothing can be done about that now.

As for the Prolite, it may be what some want and need in their conditions assuming you can use a center fluid filled diff. Though, keep in mind, as AE reps themselves have implied, its not meant as the all out racer. That may change, who knows. And the aftermarket can help with that too.
