Maybe I'm missing something, I got one of these motors in a 13.5 for 1/12 and am not impressed . I see no difference between it and my thunder power, it feels the same , runs the same lap times and comes off at the same temps. Are other really seeing such gains or is it just new motor dillusions.
There's no denying the d3.5 is a good motor, I really like it in my buggy and 2wd sct, but I did not love it in my sedan. I much prefer a reedy or a schurr speed. The thubderpower with the right rotor is great as well.
Try a schurr speed 13.5. I love mine. Super smooth with great power everywhere. I'm at a 4.3fdr and 40 degrees of timing and its killer.
