I use braid for my saddle packs in my xray between cells 3 and 4. You have less material to get in the way (wire insulation) and it's easier to get the packs in the car. I use wire braid for slot cars and its about 3/8" wide and flat, unlike wire where its round and has shielding on it. I do not use it for my 1/12th scale though, that I use 14 awg wire.
