Domit, don't worry about being old in this class. I'm 62 and have had some good results racing these cars. It's a great bunch around the country that race these and it's obvious that you aren't a rookie if you're willing to convert a car. Find a used set up like the one Andy is talking about and have fun with it. You'll love these cars.
No, I'm not a rookie, I just drive like one. I love to tinker, but hate to work on my equipment. (I realize that doesn't make any sense whatsoever, but it is what it is.)
