If I ran inline hubs, then it would be to to long. In addition, if it were illegal then Ty Tessman wouldn't have been allowed to run his at the nationals. I have done my homework (I just need to get around to weighing it one of these days)
My buddy Bryan Eady is last years stock national champion...after the mains when his car was in tech, they told him to NEVER show up with a truck chassis in the buggy class again. The chassis was designed for trucks and not buggy racing. He had his rear hubs shaved sooo thin too, so his car would just barely fit in the tech box. So his actual length was ok because of the shaving of the hubs. The Roar officials did tell him that it is not going to be legal any longer, simply because it was designed for trucks not buggies, true story.
