I drove the desc v1 for over a year and when I got the loose end under control with weight in the back and really stiff diff oils the arms and hinge pins just kept on breaking. Like a lot, I gave up when I broke three arms on a big 1/8 track.
The desc has insane acceleration and turning capabilities but I like the Losi more because I can drive it like I like it and push more, without the fear of breaking stuff all the time.
We race now indoors on tiles with minipins on a very technical track and its a handful to keep up with the light descs (the v2s hold up inside a little better but have been still breaking more than the scte's).
