well still the facts remain the same...a connecting rod is a wear item that has mechanical limits... If a person pushes the rod past its limits its going to give out...... This is the same for both modified and stock engines alike..... Of course how hard the person pushes the engine can play a big role in how long the rods will last..... A person can easily kill a connecting rod in one tank of fuel if they so choose to..and likewise a person can run a engine for many gallons without any rod issues if they choose to...It all comes back to owner of the engine and how they take care of their mill........
