Indy, the Wolf body has the front "wing" molded as part of the lexan bodyset so the secondary bumper is supplied to act as a true bumper.
And NO, the typical modern cars like the F60, MP24 and most others use a true plastic wing in the front which also acts as the "bumper".
They can take some amazing abuse but not like a touring car.
