I have checked the shift point, and clutch engagement points with tachometers. Nova makes one that is very accurate. It's mechanical. I have also used audio tachometers over the years. They are not as accurate as the nova mechanical tachometer.

The use of a tachometer over the years has let me know what 6000, to 50,000 sounds like. You can also look at the tach exactly when it engages.
How does that Nova tach work? Do you connect it to the motor somehow? Understand the clutch has been one of the hardest things to learn and anything that can help is worth it to get.
