I do alot of crap with RC cars lol, IIRC is a must with most of my postings...
The OS 8 that I usually run in everything is maybe 1 thread shorter than an HPI plug, (people say you lose power running OS plugs) so instead of going with an R5 or R4 or whatever HPI plug, I went with the LC4 that time, IIRC that's a long reach Traxxas plug IIRC, which I shouldn't have used, but oh well, at least I saw the pitting (hopefully) before it hammered the rod and all.

Compression is good, too much es no bueno... IIRC.
