The short wheelbase has no effect on the servo saver. Although the angle changes a little bit the ackerman is not affected. The new saver has the balls closer together and further away from the pivot point which changes ackerman.
The shorter wheelbase makes the car more compact and therefore rotate slightly easier. The new saver improves front grip in the middle of the corner thus creating higher cornering speeds.
