12th scale cars are very light 730g
When they bounce off things they do not generate forces of impact like sedans
So they don't brake or bend much at all
Obviously, if you are a very poor driver and find it difficult to keep the car on line & in the lane, you will chuck a fair share of foam tires
Aside from that, they are quite durable little cars

I would describe setup as different, but not difficult
No tweak station needed, just a ride height gauge, and a set of callipers will do the job
