You won't be able to achieve a functional gear ratio with that 72. With a 93 the smallest pinion I could mesh, and even this was pushing it, was a 45 for a FDR of 4.13.
That would mean with a 72 you would need around a 66 tooth pinion to have any hope of achieving a mesh (quick from the hip calculations, feel free to double check). That would give a 2.18 FDR...
Buy some
RWs in the 90-96 range (I carry 93 & 96s) and you will be covered....
Preferably V2s which let you use all 4 screws.
