The main issue I would see with that motor Kv outside of an indoor small track is that when you go to gear, two things could occur:
- You need bigger pinions, can be a pain to put in unless you open up the opening on motor mount
- The motor may get hot as you try to gear for more top speed.
To be honest from what I am seeing with my 4000Kv pro4, these 2S setups with the vehicle being as big as it is just don't seem to like going past certain points on gearing in comparison to what I am seeing for 1/8 electric motors.
I personally think the 4000Kv is a good motor size in the pro4 line up for all around, unless you are on a really big track, then the 4600kv would do you better.
Not sure if it was on here or on rcshortcourse, but I won't be able to test the lower antisquat setting of the m2C blocks as the race got canceled this weekend. Probably won't be any more outdoor stuff either for racing so time to give the SC10 4x4 the tear down and set it up for carpet.
For those who run on carpet, what tires have you been going with? the stockers work well, but I want a bit more bite.
