I'm an aerospace machinist and we machine custom parts for private aircraft, and we welcome good ideas that would help us sell more product or even sell the same amount with more satisfied customers. The B4 was released in 2003. Yes it's still a great platform that wins and has a great design, but it's not like AE would take a step backwards with the B5. Go look at your buggy and take a mental more of how many parts are not OEM or even AE. I'm sure a lot of upgrades are not needed or just preference, but then look at people with 22's and 210's, RB5's, they are a lot closer to OEM and aren't running parts from other chassis manufacturers on them.
you cant compare that...it isnt just the tires. When the TC5 was released there was a market for a rubber and a foam spec tc, it wasnt all tires. It was the thickness of the chassis/design of the upper deck, it was the stiffness of the arms. When the TC6 was released the market for a foam spec tc had declined and therefore it was primarily targeted more toward rubber tire racing (majority of races now are done with rubber tires including on carpet). There isnt a market for two different b4's, your always going to have the guy that says that holeshots and suburbs dont work on my track, maybe they use barcodes, or slicks, or a different compund all together. it would be easier for them to just include rims and let the consumer pick the tire that suits their track. back when the original b4 was first released how many inddor tracks where there that used some gold or mc compound bk style tire? very few, nearly everybody ran m3 holeshots on a weekly basis.
