Think of it like air pressure in a real car tire. On pavement (high bite) you want more air pressure than if you were driving in sand (low bite, soft inserts). Remember, different tracks require different combinations to get the most out of your car. Why do you think there are so many tread patterns, rubber compounds, and inserts?
