You will have to pardon some of us who are poking fun at the different arguments for ESC, battery, motor, weight, body, and drivers arguments but we have been seeing the same arguments come up for years (read all of the pages in both the USVTA part one and this thread and you will see what I mean). Some of the reasons for the current rule set is to both stop the cheating accusations before they start and to keep costs down.
