I'm not trying to bust chops, I am asking questions to try to be more informed and get a better understanding of the choices being made. I will say that there's a lot of innuendo and paranoia about cheating in this class. In many ways it reminds me of the Tamiya Mini Class, however unlike my experiences in VTA there were people caught cheating in Mini.
You will have to pardon some of us who are poking fun at the different arguments for ESC, battery, motor, weight, body, and drivers arguments but we have been seeing the same arguments come up for years (read all of the pages in both the USVTA part one and this thread and you will see what I mean). Some of the reasons for the current rule set is to both stop the cheating accusations before they start and to keep costs down.
