Yes, just come down to NorCal Hobbies in Union City. Most of us are running Tamiya vehicles.

We just finished the first round of our F1 series, RC FIAhttp://www.rcfia.com, with 3 rounds to go in Northern California.

Most of us are running Tamiya cars, specifically a variant of the F104. Cars as of the last race:

F104 (I think we had every single variant racing Pro, W, WGP, X1, ver. 2)
F104 Exotek F1R
T.O.P. Rebel F1 w/ F104 front suspension
3 Racing Sakura FGX

The top 3 consisted of two F104 variants (one was a ver. 2) and a T.O.P Rebel F1 car. 1st place was claimed by the winner of the F1 class at TCS in 20ll, 2nd was claimed by the 3rd place winner of the F1 class at TCS this year. That said, up to about the half-way point of the race, 2nd place was held by one of the track owners with a standard F104 Pro with a split chassis and silvercan motor, so even though there are lots of talente drivers and multiple chassis variants, it says a lot about just how little the chassis/motor/esc comes into play compared to knowing how to setup your particular car and driving the crap out of it--4th place was just a standard F104 Pro with a seasoned driver.
