Tie rod pop-off issue
Regarding the tie rods poping off, keep caster in mind. I went to 20 degrees overall caster in the front for running on carpet which added a crazy amount of bump steer as well as tie rods poping off with only landing hard off of jumps, let alone crashing. I moved the bump steer washer (between spindle and steering knuckle) from the top to the bottom and put short 4-40 ball studs and cups in the steering knuckle, part #LOSA6029. No more bump steer and no more tie rods poping off even with hard hits.
