be a best bet...the the MBX5 is still fine....
remember a "Driver" wins races not the "Car"
there is a local guy running a Kyosho Kanai 777 just kicking everyones tails
in his class......
even when he has to run "Expert/Pro" with some of us he "IS Right On Par"
he never crashes, and keeps cool !!!
when "Measureing Split seconds" yes sometimes newer Designs will Help
but only when a Driver is "Consistant" in there skills.......
as drivers progress in there skills they get misconceptions the previous car
was Inferior....but it is just sometimes there "Skills Improve"
if just having fun,some good club racing the 5 will still "WIN" anything you can put in front of it.....
if deciding to compeat in "Major" nation or State wide events?
may want to go with the MBX6 the are a few Geometric changes to help
with some track conditions that are more "Present" with events at higher
levels..........
never to say can not be done with a MBX5 but a good set up will need to be
right with the drivers "Abilities"
with the 5 also you may be able to retro-fit some parts saving you some good cash......
with the 5's try different setups the Mugens are Quite reactive to small changes...
there designs are close with Losi and Agama ..........
cars like Kyosho,Agama,Losi and Mugen companies did there homework
to find settings that can be about 80 to 95% close to 99% of track conditions.
so your in pretty good hands !!!
the bigest changes you'll notice will be camber,ride Height,and toe settings.
a good investment would also be a set up system even a Inexpensive one
will be fine, no need to spend 150.00 or more on fancy ones....
but to have something to help more than "Eyeballing" camber or toe settings
will help allot ...not to mention you'll notice the difference !!!
sometimes all it takes to make a old car feel "New"....
