I was wondering about this as I am in the process of paint right now with assembly on its way. Does this hold up well enough? I have some 2 part epoxy that will hold extremely well its just not flexible like shoe goo so not sure if I should use that or not.
I've painted a half dozen F1 bodies and shoe gooed them all. Never had anything come apart. While its true you are bonding to the paint, the paint is also bonded to the body. And it never sees much force on these F1's. Try it out on some scraps that you have applied paint to if you are worried about it. Then try and pull them apart.
