When I ran boosted 17.5 I also coupled the kinetic with a Novak Sentry. The data logging told me that my infield RPMs were still at 6000. So I'm thinking part of your problem is the timing starting way to early.

6500 start
18000 end
50 degrees of advance
motor timing of 30-35
5.6 ratio
