I know this because I reassembled after a teardown and installed the spur backwards so the pins were on the leading side, not the correct trailing side of the ball. That means that regardless of how many pins I had in it, zero were having any affect on the balls. I did notice the handling was different, but there was little to no difference on jumps.
Welp, the center ball diff is so sweet I won my 1st A main with it installed backwards! Thanks for calling this out fq. I flipped my ball diff last night, hope it pays off this weekend.
