to run my 540 motor in i like to do the following procedure:

step1: place motor on ground
step2: grab touring car
step3: place it in the passengers seat at the front of your real car
step4: place your car in reverse
step5: release handbrake
step5: reverse over the motor
step6: place car in "D", then accelerate.
step7: repeat steps 4,5,6 and 7 3 to 4 times.
step8: place crushed motor in a glass of water
step9: place a hassle free and very quick brushless motor in your 1:10 electric touring car.

this method is a little more time consuming but i think it solves the issue of the slow 540 motor when new. i found that the brushes become really well worn in......to the ground
