I have a Cody King that was/is acting up. Monty (from Huston engine service) told me to pull the carb, leave the fuel lines connected, and then blow through the exhaust line and allow a lot of fuel to run through the carb, then to pull all the needles and blow more fuel through. After this then clean the needles with a carb clean or spray to make sure there is no dirt causing the problem. I did all this and I was actually able to start running a few tanks through my engine but it was not reliable even after this but if you are having a fuel problem (I don't think mine is) this should solve all the problems you are talking about.

I never had idle problems mine would just flame out between 2 and 5 minutes and I could never go past 8 minutes on a tank before it would flame. After doing this I have ran maybe 3 tanks on it without it flaming and this has happened from the first time we started breaking it in with it flaming while breaking it in. In contrast my 2011 7 port Orion engine has had 7 gallons on it and I can still get 10 minutes on a tank with very few flame problems, 2 flame outs in the last 6 races only, with each main being at least 30 minutes.
