Agreed. Same thing with bearings. For most applications abec 3 or 5 are the most common. Abec 7 have the least play and stricter tolerances, but cause too much friction and resistance. With abec 7 bearings you woud have no slop at all in your bearings, but they would have too much rolling resistance. Sometimes a little play is a good thing, and there for a reason for that.

Reducing some play for onroad maybe... But off road? The car is already bouncing about in the dirt, clay or carpet. Is taking out .030 of slop really needed?
