Tazers were golden on my 2wd, and they are similar to holeshots, so I figgered the lighter SC104x4 woudl still be good with them.
tazers are definitely more aggressive pattern then holeshots tho which is why they most likely work, maybe try the tazers on the rear and holeshots on the front, something about combos like that work well on the sc10 outdoors.
i have tried panther raptors all the way around and it wasnt as good as with a boa in the rear, but then again boas all the way around didnt feel as good on the track.
