Maybe you can just order the machined spur, thrust washer, balls and pins to adapt to your homemade C-Diff, not sure. But after you have paid shipping it may have just made sense to buy the complete kit cuz you wouldn't want to pay for shipping the rest of the parts to NZ if it did not work with your parts.

Outdoor is where you will see the greatest benefit from the C-Diff also.
It is the only thing I have not really given a good go at to be honest, the V1 diff I made just didn't get "tight" enough to work right, I just took my truck for a run, and I have to say it's looking very promising, I have the front slipper pad locked, with a VTS type slipper outside, with the overdrive up front it pulls hard from a standing start at full power, and stays nice and straight with all four wheels going hard, that's all I have been missing from this truck, and under brakes all four wheels will lock at 100% braking, will turn that down when racing but that's what Ive been looking for. Done the 8mm mod, added weight, saddles etc etc etc, the slipper setup is my only issue. The guys here are spending big $$$$ on the "other" kinds of trucks as well, and reading the STCE thread really just puts me off wanting one of those, there are pics of my mods if you look at my other posts, easy to see the time put into this truck. I do love how it drives.
