I tried A's all around with their normal insert and I had way too much steering. I tend to set my cars up very trimmed out normally and it was pretty tough to keep ahold of with A's up front. That's why I went with Pit Meds up front. The track I was at was pretty green, since no one was running foams the whole day. You typically don't overheat tires on carpet, so I don't think having an airgap would be particularly advantageous. I've had that car working well on the same track with Pit Meds all around and I think that would be faster, but I didn't feel like making drastic setup changes to the car.
