I wasn't trying to compare performance, honestly, I think all the major e-buggys out there are good enuff to run at the track and be competitive.

with 2s packs, I can share them with 1/10 scale... (not sure why this is 'bad' to do .. never heard of that.. ) where as a single pack you can't. so that's the cost savings I was thinking of, not so much the cost of a single pack comparison, but the total amount you would need to race at the track. Currently I have 6 2s packs, and I have run them in my friends 1/10 scale cars no prob.

I never really considered that people 'forgetting' about charging their packs... most people seem pretty good about monitoring their chargers in case of a fire.

and Hobby King has locations in the USA to ship from, so shipping can be pretty fast.... people buy Hobby Wing esc's from China, like everything else we buy... Anyway, Im a regular at Amainhobbies.com, and I buy Tekin, which is USA made..

no, i didn't race NiMH batteries, I've been doing nitro for many years, and the Serpent was my first way BACK into electric... I always thought the older battery tech was too pricey for what u got, compared to nitro... in my opinion, for what I wanted from RC.

dont mean to rough too many feathers, I mean the car isnt even out yet.. what if it flops like the Facebook stock!! (j/k I dont think it will) Oh, Im sure I will see one at the track soon, and get to listen to someone bash me simply because they beat me... lol
