I have never tryed other systems, I would loved to have the Spektrum set but I did get the Spektrum module based on the Futaba HRS and that one is not supporting telemetry.
I did take a look at the Hitec set, that one has also a black box to connect a lot of sensors and a data-out which could be modified for own applications.
