I took me 2 years to wear out the stock bumper, but a lot of people do like the rpm bumper. I didnt get it because it sticks out too far for me.

no top shaft listed here! but, yeah, as cheap as they are an idler & diff gear are, they are good CHEAP insurance for finishing a day. The diff & slipper are items that are very durable for a seasoned vet that really knows what he's doing & doesnt wreck enough to break an arm in 5 years (see people like maifield, tebo, etc...). For the rest of us, setting either the diff or the slipper slight off once & not catching it immediately can destroy the entire system.
Also, I have a biased oppinion of the durability of rc cars. I am not that good & wreck fairly often (a wing will typically last 4-5 track days). To make matters worse, I have 2 sons that race (9 & 12 years old) who have the ability to break the oddest stuff (the young one broke a hinge pin WITH OUT breaking the arm?!?!?!?!) on a shockingly regular basis.
My reference to the shock tower spacer is the plastic/aluminum piece that the top of the shock attaches to on the tower. even the aluminum ones wear amazingly fast. Any suggest on a way to slow that wear would be greatly appreciated.
