I started with the RTR and its really not bad out of the box. Here is what I would upgrade n order when u can. Servo, tighten or glue servo saver, FT turnbuckles with RPM cups, ball diff, esc/motor, +8 chassis, avid steering system, V2 shocks. Of course u can change shock fluids and springs to your liking. But keep n mind b4 u spend a ton of money, u can get a Worlds with most everything on it. I'd do the first few things and put n some drive time and decide what u want. Remember to have fun
