Picked up my first A-main win this weekend in over a year of racing with my FT B4.1 converted WC. Just wanted to share that. Anyways...
I rebuilt my shocks before the race weekend and I noticed the dampening of the right shock was significantly more than the left. I had bought a new shock shaft thinking there was a slight bend in the shock shaft causing the dampening difference. Instead I found that I had the #3 piston in the right shock and the #1 piston in the left. It's almost unbelievable how such a seemingly minute change in the piston hole bore size can have such a significant effect on the dampening of the shock and handling of the buggy. So much of tuning the buggy is this way.
