I am trying to shim the clutch bell on an OS VZB enginee but think the bearing may be too deep.

The first pic shows the inner bearing:



The second pic shows the out bearing:


The problem is the crankshaft does not extend past the outer bearing. It sits just inside the outer bearing and therefore, is stopping me from shimming it up !

Is the outer or inner bearing too thick ?

Any help would be appreciated.
