It doesn't affect top speed directly as it's doesn't limit the speed of the motor. It only limits the amount of power the motor can have on initial take offs.

so when you come up to that jump that you need all it has, does this limit the launching capability or just at dead stop start >?? Sorry to beet a dead horse.
