As it turns out...
We are both wrong and sort of right at the same time. Roll stiffness has no affect on total side to side weight transfer whatsoever, it only affects how quickly weight transfers. The stiffer suspension will transfer more quickly than the soft suspension.
I found some interesting links that talk about it:

Some interesting stuff there.
So applying that with the fact that we are on a less than perfect surface typically the truck will grip better with a softer suspension but will have quicker handling with the firmer suspension so in the end it all does come down to balance. Trying to find the softest suspension that will still change directions as fast as possible is the ultimate goal and balance front and rear stiffness to correct any handling problems at different points in the turn. The first link has some very good information that will help figure out what to change for different handling problems such as turn in understeer or exit understeer ot whatever other problem you could have.
Who would have thought there was someone out there smarter than I am? Fluke!
