Thumbs up Club fun day formats? What has your club done?

Not sure if this is the right format to post this in, but I was after any suggestions for "fun days" that other clubs may have run?

Last sunday, due to Fathers Day, we didnt run normal races for points, because a lot of people cant make it onholidays/special days like fathers day. Instead we had a fun day that consisted of the following (and actually had a bigger turnout than most race days!):

One on One knockout battle. We ranked drivers and paired them up for a one lap dash. Winner moved on to next round, loser gets knocked out. Just like a tennis tournament. All cars used 540 motors.

After that we ran Timed laps, 20 minute session for 540s, 20 minutes for Stock, and 20 minutes for Open. All cars used transponders and AlyCat kept the times for use later on in the day...

This was followed by an obstacle course, again using 540 motors. The Tamiya Minis obviously won this! Slalom, narrow points and gates, tunnels (upside down cartons with a hole either end) and a chicane made of two bits of rope were used as obstacles. Two laps, timed, and a 10 second penalty for every obstacle missed or hit.

After this we ran a team enduro. Due to the computer not being able to handle the number of cars, we had to split it into 3 races. Teams were made up from the results of the time trials results. Each team consisted of one 540, one stock and one open. Each class of motor ran a 10 minute race with a battery change permitted (change to be done by the driver but a team mate could bring the car to the driver stand for the change) and after the 3 races were completed, each team members laps were tallied to get a result.

This was a great fun day.
