Other things to change....
If you change tire size but compensate for it using the above method you will need to do something else. When you use smaller tires you will need to raise the car to get the same chassis clearance. When you do this you will change the position of the suspension. If you were to raise the chassis a lot you could end up with the suspension reaching the downstops and not going further. So if you really want to adjust things correctly, you need to change the downstops too. You can use the same trick as above.
If you run for instance 4mm smaller tires than what is in the setup sheet, you need to change the downstops by half the difference. So if the setup sheet calls for a 7mm rear downstop you'd need to set 5mm if you were to run the small tires.
