A few more observations...
Ok the car IS light. 50g less than my 104 X1! That is using the same front end, same electronics, same rear shaft/diff assembly.
Next, the new top deck makes removing the battery way easier. One must be careful, though when putting it back in as it's easy to put it back slightly skewed. Make sure really back in place before tightening the screws.
The new shocks are very smooth and easy to build. they require oil much heavier than I expected, but are fine. Since they're a through and through design, they don't require a bladder and have no rebound.
The rear pod top deck is not so bad, flex wise, but the plastic left front post supporting it is truly bad. it's extremely flexy. had to replace it with a post from my 104 X1 and a few shims. Makes it much better.
Side links look flimsy, so I would probably stock on them as I don't have much faith in them surviving a crash. I may be wrong, though (I hope).
Not much else... Simple and elegant design. I believe it should be a very good car.
