There was so much traction on this track that everyone no matter what car you drove was having problems with traction rolling. So to get the steering without traction rolling they cut the rubber on the inside and superglued the edges. Brian got around this by using the front way lock option. He shoved two pins in there and taped them shut, so that why I offered to lend him my parts that don't protrude from the one way. He didn't cut his tires like Brandon.
You can also see the tuning option on the lower arms to shorten the wheelbase. It is not in use as you can see the spacer behind the lower arm.

So I take it that once the guys had got the steering they liked for the track, the cars started to traction roll and therefore the use of either the locked one-way or narrower tyres.
