To start off you should just run whatever turns up, and from that work out what the new racers want to run. No point deciding you are going to run VTA if no one shows any interest in buying all the VTA specific equipment to run the touring cars they already have. If a load of newbies turn up with basic RTR cars then you've just created the class for them, no point forcing them to buy extra equipment just to allow them to run.

Then once you are up and running and you can talk to your new racers, then you can decide what classes to run. Asking people on here what their favourite classes or what's popular at their local club is not necessarily what's going to be popular in your neighbourhood.
