I have it geared up 2 teeth to a 15th bell, I decided to try running a Buku composite with the stall set very low, nearly down to idle......And the engine pulls it like nothing...I can even make the triple that I could never make before, and not only could I make it, I could make it quite effortlessly... Tho I may need to work more on my aim, the engine pulled that triple like it was its job......... Down the straight its a rocket with a 15th...Our straight is 180' and I feel this car would pull for at least another 100'..It gobbles up the straight so quickly you do not get a chance to really wind it out, in fact the ground speed was so much I was letting off halfway down the straight just so I could make the corner at the end of it.... fuel mileage seemed mediocre , but I have the tune set quite rich still......However I do not think this is a engine to buy if fuel mileage is your main goal.....You buy a .25 to get that grunt you just cant get from a .21...... And let me tell you, this Clocked Roma has some serious grunt... it pulls a low stalled 15th bell with authority, almost effortless power really............ I wouldn't say its overly smooth, as it just has too much power to be smooth, but it is very linear and predictable in how it delivers its power, and it is by no means difficult to drive, in fact I felt it was actually very easy to drive....It does everything effortlessly ......But I did have to keep mind on my throttle finger, if I got too aggressive it would twist the truggy out of shape pretty quickly............But then again this is a Clocked Roma .25 and I would expect no less.......... All in all one of my favortie truggy engines to date.... Massive amounts of 4 stroke like grunt, and some serious whallop on the topside.... With the 15th bell the truggy is ballistic on top...
Hi Neal,
What brand do you use for the clutch bell in this set-up?
