That RTR motor is just as fast or faster than a 13.5. It all depends on what your doing. If your gonna be racing I suggest you stay with that motor. It is plenty fast for most tracks especially if you are "restarting" the hobby. If you are looking for more speed to bash with you can look at one of the Castle setups
