The pinion will make you go a little faster. Might cause your esc/motor to get hot and possible burn up if you go to far. What esc came with that RTR because you may not be able to upgrade the motor to a lower turn?

If you have the brushed kit, its limited to 17 turn per AE's documentation.

If its the brushless kit, then you can go up a 6100 kV with 2S Lipo motor.
Motor Limit: 3900kV w/3S LiPo, 6100kV w/2S LiPo
