Forget about lipos. Use a 12v gel cell. It will last you a weekend long of racing and when it dies, just plug it into a trickle charger at 2 amps for a day and you're good to go.
Racer's Edge or Hangar 9 make sealed batteries that are very nice.
the racers edge battery is actually an interstate battery that you can probably find at an auto parts store.
